Problems of contemporary maritime codes. A comparative study of recent codifications of maritime law
In recent years there have been several attempts, successful to a greater or lesser extent, to modernize national maritime law in various jurisdictions all around the world. Having regard to the beneficial result of comparative research which furnishes greater understanding and contributes to the harmonization of law, the authors of this book aim to discuss selected issues of the new national maritime law codifications from a comparative perspective. They have gathered multiple resources from different jurisdictions and analyzed them against the reasoning standing behind the Polish proposed draft of a new maritime code.
