    The authors of the report, employees of the Department of Investment and Real Estate of the Faculty of Economic Sciences and Management at the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń, have been conducting research on international capital flows in the form of foreign direct investment (FDI) for many years. Their first research work in this area covered FDI in Poland – the intensity, structure, determinants and effects of these investments. The research is continued in the national and regional scope, although the authors' current work is focused on the problem of investment activity of Polish enterprises abroad. In addition, the subject of the authors' scientific interest is the internationalisation of enterprises through capital, especially the activities of the world's largest direct investors, as well as multinational enterprises from developing countries. The results of their research have been published in numerous scientific studies – books and articles published at home and abroad. It is widely acknowledged that the FDI research centre in Toruń, which they co-found, is one of the leading in Poland. More about the research team: https://skolar.umk.pl.
