OPIS The monograph is devoted to a class of linear iterative functional equations in which functions taking random values are involved. They appear in many branches of mathematics, and their solutions are studied extensively in various classes of functions. It turns out that these functional equations have neither a separate monograph nor even any survey paper, while the volume of results about iterative functional equations with random-valued functions is quite large, and some new results are still being published.

Several classes of solutions to a linear iterative functional equation are examined. At first, bounded solutions defined on and with values in the real line are studied. Then solutions for equations in the class of all probability distribution functions are of interest. In the next step the author presents several results on solutions with values in a vector space, in contrast to a special real line case. A separate part of the monograph is devoted to Lipschitzian solutions, and results on the existence and uniqueness are given. At last, some consideration on continuous solutions is presented.
